Sandy is an ordained Minister in the Uniting Church in Australia, and has been working as the Executive Officer for the Victorian Council of Churches (2022- ). Sandy was President of the DIAKONIA World Federation for 12 years (2012-2025).
2022-2023 Rev. Dr. Xiaoli Yang
Xiaoli is an Australian Chinese theologian/missiologist. She was AAMS President 2022-23 and AAMS Vice President 2021-22. She remains a Member of the AAMS Committee, and has recently been appointed to the International Association of Mission Studies Executive as the Regional Representative Oceania on the International Association Mission Studies.

Dean is a retired Minister in the Uniting Church (60 years in 2025). He is Convenor of the SA Church History Network, and a member of the Uniting Church National Historical Society.
2020-2021 Professor Therese D’Orsa
Therese D’Orsa was the first Professor of Mission and Culture at the Australian Institute of Theological Education (BBI-TAITE) and was dedicated to the evangelising mission of the Church throughout her extensive career as a Catholic missiologist and educational leader. 2019-2020 Prof Dr René Erwich
Professor René Erwich is an internationally recognised expert in Christian theology and ministry and its application to contemporary society. His research involves a hopeful articulation of Christian faith in engagement with the needs and challenges of secular society. From September 2017 to September 2023, René was the Principal of Whitley College. René has since taken up an exciting position as the Dean (Theology & Social Work) at Viaa University of Applied Sciences, Zwolle in the Netherlands. Bio here.
2018-2019 Rev Dr Patrick McInerney
Patrick is a Columban Missionary Priest from Australia, ordained in 1978 . After ordination, he worked in Pakistan for 20 years, including degree studies in Arabic and Islamics in Rome in the mid-80’s. In 2000 he was re-assigned to Australia where he works in Christian-Muslim Relations.
